Silk Screening

Silk screening is a super awesome method of print making where design is produced on a screen of silk, traditionally for making stuff like t-shirts, caps, mugs and stuff like that. I personally enjoyed it as it was my first experience to really get my hands dirty and get into it. I had a really good time making the process! Here are some of the pictures I took sneakingly. LOL

Different color of paints used by the previous students which can be recycled

Techniques showed by the workshop instructor

My piece of artwork which is not that much of an art actually LOL, experimental more like as I tried different techniques for each section using things like charcoal, pencil, black paint, cutter, sand paper and stuff like that.

Break time, we learn on how to wrap Sophia's rollies LOL Yvonne was the successful one!

The awesome process takes place LOL

That quite wraps up the day!

Flat 404

I have been attending lectures, workshops and trips for the last few weeks which consisted most of the days and they were mostly on the day time. After that when I got home I just cook, lay back, just chill and relax coz I got so tired and filled up with so many things during the day.

But that’s gonna change now as tonight is the night when we students started to burn the midnight oil. Muahaha! Looks like the heat of the work excitement is starting and that will lead to an exertion which well I hope it’s gonna go on for long, coz once I’m in the play and chill and relax mode again it’s gonna be hard for me to get back here! Haha! Well anyways we are working on a poster to stand for a space which we were asked to investigate. So well I hope that will come out right and GOOOD hehe.

This is the time when the food should come in handy. We all need supplement! =D

ROLLIN'

So well I did not keep my promises and I have been missing a lot of updates! Let’s just skip all that and so yea a month has gone by. Time flies, I have been staying and living in a country on the other land, I have been adapting to a lot of new things which I found quite intriguing sometime while the rest are just amazing. Wait, I seriously don’t know where and how to start so I think I’m just gonna throw everything in and at least try to get to the starting line AGAIN, soon.

NEW
I’m posting two new sections on the right panel of my blog. I call them “Softwares picked up here in the UK(again and still counting) and “BOOKS READ HERE IN THE UK (AND COUNTING)” purely for a motivation purpose. In case you are interested, you are free to have a chat about them with me.

Alright folks, I guess that’s all for now. Next update, tomorrow!
P/S: I'm back rollin right back at ya!

Venturing into the Unknown Future

My previous post has just made me realized that it actually acts as a teaser when I mentioned about furthering my studies without including information like where and when! LOL!

Last April, I officially completed my three year Diploma course in “Advertising & Graphic Design” at my exceptional art college; The One Academy with a 3.57 GPA tops and wraps up with 3.19 CGPA which I had to halfheartedly accept at the end of the course. Nonetheless, number is not the matter here as for art students, portfolio counts the most and unfortunately I am not even close to one of those who possessed outstanding portfolio. I went through a lot of sidetracks along the way and yes, all the time I knew I could have done better.

So then I have to say that it’s a fortunate chance for me to have the opportunity to do well again because I've been permitted to continue my degree overseas. It has always been my dream to at least have the experience of studying abroad. This dream would not be possible without the support that came from my dad. Therefore, I owe him.

The University that I chose to go to is the University of the West of England (UWE) which is located in Bristol, one of the warmest cities in the U.K. The course will start in this September and it’s a one year degree program so I guess I have a couple of months left here and soon I’ll be off to start my new journey. Of course there are plenty of good reasons of why I chose to study at this uni which I might be sharing on my next post!

Here’s a glimpse of my offer letter.

Contemplating

Welcome to my newly made blog! Ever since I was young I came across to a lot of blog sites and I found it cool to sometimes read them but it didn’t give me enough urge to follow and to create one.

But now that I have one, let me highlight where this sudden blogging urge came from! =P It started with the whole preparation process for my further studies, which later draws me to writing. I know this will get interesting as soon as I embark on the second stage of the journey, but I am confident that it's a good time to start. I'm feelin it =D That’s when I buckled up myself and finally register for one!

So stay tuned! =)
